Sue and Bruce braved incredibly high winds, hail stones, driving rain, and even sunshine when they took a weekend break with us on March 8th 2002.

Pete shows us how to fix a split granny cog tooth - not the easist of repairs when the Quantock Hills are so well known for their stoney, testing climbs.

MORE PHOTOS TO COME!

Tony Baxter's bunch from Wallington Surrey were really good sports. They pushed themselves all the way and absolutely devoured the chocolate cake! Excellent packing of the van, Tony!

Alan's group from Weymouth proved to be fit, well-prepared and equipped for every eventuallity. Well done, Lawrence for keeping your dad on track!

Grazilla and Steph took their mountain biking very seriously on both their weekends with us. They found every question under the sun to ask Pete - he managed to answer every one, well nearly! My skinny cafe lattes went down a treat at the end of their rides.

Our cycle maintenance group proved such great learners- fast topick up techniques and good at chain fixing. Out on the hills theory was put to the test as punctures, chains, gears and brakes needed constant attention.

The September Ladies Beginners Weekend 2002 was very successful despite lots of bruises, scrapes, and tumbles!! Here the girls are showing off their war wounds! Over the weekend their confidence grew and hopefully they will be back for more adventures.

In April 2003 our lady mountain bikers appeared to enjoy the challenging coombes of the Quantocks despite the tricky tree roots and gullies! More courses for beginners and intermediates have been organised.

This amazing group of women, The Bike Babes from the Reading area, tackled most of the extreme routes on the Quantocks in March 2005. They made the most of the area arranging to stop off at popular watering holes such as Stella's and The Plough en route. They were well organised, well equipped and great fun.
